Our flock of Katahdin sheep is slowly growing. These “hair sheep” were bred strictly for meat, and do not have the long wool which greatly reduces the amount of maintenance required.
Our herd is small but growing. This breed comes from Japan and is world-renown for its slow-growing, high quality meat.
We raise Bourbon Red Turkeys at Yellowleaf Creek. They are a heritage breed and are some of the prettiest turkeys around! The toms are quite vocal and like to talk back to anybody willing to try speaking their language.
We raise Kunekune pigs on our farm. This breed is a smaller variety with a great temperament and short snort which keeps them from heavily rooting, both of these make them ideal for pet pigs. Their meat is also known to be of very high quality, some referring to it as the “wagu of pork”.
